AFAP sends receipts to donors at the end of the Australian financial year.

AFAP and Blue Dragon are working jointly in the delivery of aid to communities overseas. AFAP closely monitors the work of Blue Dragon to ensure the delivery of relief and/or development programs in Vietnam in terms of project outcomes. AFAP allows Blue Dragon to use donated funds or donations in kind only for benevolent activities undertaken by Blue Dragon. We, Blue Dragon, do not have DGR status in our own right and are relying on AFAP’s endorsed status by the ATO. AFAP retains the ultimate discretion whether to distribute any funds in accordance with the preference expressed by the donor.
From the USA
We are in the process of applying to the United States Internal Revenue Service for 501(c)(3) status. If we receive a favorable determination from the United States Internal Revenue Service, all donations made to Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation USA between now and the date 501(c)(3) status is granted will retrospectively qualify for tax deductibility.
