Your gift of a study desk and lamp will give one child a special study place of her own with adequate space and lighting. A better study environment at home will help her to achieve her potential at school.

Many children in Vietnam never know where their next meal will come from or if they will even have one. Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation tries to solve this problem for as many children as possible. This gift will help us provide three healthy, well-balanced meals for one of our children for an entire week, ensuring that they will continue to grow up healthy, happy, and strong.

Even though the cost of education is quite low in Vietnam, many families can hardly afford to pay the school fees, let alone purchase the required text books. This donation will ensure that one more child doesn’t have to worry about having the proper books for studying, and will subsequently relieve their family of the financial stress incurred by this necessity.

Each day approximately forty children in Vietnam die from drowning. Most of these children could be saved - if they only knew how to swim. Many of the Blue Dragon children live on or near the Red River. It is our goal to teach each and every one how to swim. Your gift will ensure that one more child will be able to attend an 8 week swimming course that could ultimately save their life.

Winter in the northern provinces of Vietnam can be very harsh. For many families, providing a winter coat for their child is simply not an option. Blue Dragon tries to rectify this problem for as many children as possible. This gift will ensure that one more child will be cozy and warm when the weather is at its worst.

Getting to school can sometimes be a challenge for children in Vietnam. If a child has no means by which to get there, he often won’t go. This gift will not only help one child get to school, but will likely mean that a younger sibling will benefit as well by hitching a ride on the back! So, ultimately, two futures will be enhanced by getting to school and getting an education.

Children with disabilities living in Vietnam are often confined to their homes. Most only leave to go to and from school- if they go to school at all. Your gift will provide a special day out for one of our children with disabilities. It could be a trip to the circus or a day at the water park. But no matter what the day brings, it will certainly be something special.

Many children’s medical needs are neglected in Vietnam. These needs range from treating conditions such as fever, broken bones and rashes, to more serious illnesses like tuberculosis. This gift will provide much-needed medical support for a child, and subsequently, a healthier, more productive life.

In Vietnam, some children as young as six are taken to work in factories seven days a week, and up to 16 hours per day, for no payment. These children have no way of escape, no opportunity to learn, and no access to health services or social support. They have been denied their rights to be a child. Your gift will help Blue Dragon rescue a trafficked child and restore the gift of childhood by reuniting them with their family and community.

For many children in Vietnam, having a safe place to live is not an option. Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation tries to solve this problem for as many children as possible. This gift will help us provide much more than food and shelter, though. It will help us provide a loving home for a child who may not otherwise have one.
